I am super excited, especially the part about getting to play as Reed. I think some of your strongest stuff in LLS was the parts through the eyes of other characters. Playing as the others members of the cast in the extra chapters were the highlights of LLS and I cant wait to play through a whole game like that.
I cant wait till we get to play it! Will there be a demo or are you planing to just release it all at once when its done?
I don't wanna be that guy, but yeah, I also hoped for a "Cope/Hope" alternative story.
I do understand tho, it can be really generic and repetitive, specially when Anon really was conclusive with his destine in this Ending, leaving basically no room for any kind of redemption, but still, I thought "If Ending 1 had so beautiful of a redeeming story, why not with E2?"
I do really like tragic stories, as long as they have a happy ending/"clearly towards happyness" type of open ending. That's why I kinda hated the original ending 1 and 2 (Not in the sense of writing, but in how they made me feel fking terrible with no hope at all), but that's me.
I still respect your decision in taking a different path to a lot of other "alternative stories" out there, and I'll obviously will play this. Don't get affected by comments like mine who only wanted another cope story, your writing is peak, always good to see more from your work.
Honestly, I was really excited about the announcement of this mod and its title, inspired by Billy Joel's song. The name seemed perfect: a work that speaks about trust and healing wounds, which fit ideally to hint at a possible reconciliation between Fang and Anon.
That's why my disappointment was great when I discovered that the proposal doesn't revolve around that idea. Instead of exploring what happened to Fang after his breakup with Anon, the mod places Reed as the protagonist. This decision, far from exciting the fandom, will likely cause rejection, since what players most hope for is a reunion between Fang and Anon. By excluding Anon from the main role, the story loses much of the emotional weight it could have had and misses the opportunity to delve into one of the most significant conflicts of the original game
Opinions are already turning negative, and it's understandable: the fandom is finding out that this mod isn't about reconciliation between Fang and Anon. In fact, Anon isn’t even the main character, but rather Reed, a character who doesn’t generate much interest within the community.
Moreover, the fact that the story does not offer a happy ending and is presented more as an extension of Ending 2 means that for much of the time we will see Fang in a state of unhappiness. This makes the proposal less appealing and makes it difficult for public perception to change, since what players are most hoping for is precisely a reunion between Fang and Anon, not an extension of the conflict.
I understand the point: this mod can provide context about what happened with Fang in E2 and cover one of the biggest gaps in that ending. However, I feel it would have had much more impact if Fang had been the protagonist instead of Reed. In the end, what most of the fandom wants is to dive deeper into Fang and her relationship with Anon, and focusing on Reed takes away emotional strength from the story.

We shall see if I manage to deliver in spite of this handicap! Once the full game is available, I'll be gladdened to hear your thoughts on it.
